One day, that muscular pump that keeps us alive will stop – there’s no getting away from it. From now until then our life will be made up of nothing more than a long (hopefully!!) string of experiences. Our goal is to make those experiences the best that they can be – to squeeze every last drop of adventure, excitement, inspiration, and joy from life as possible. We do that through travelling.
Travelling, for us, is a need. We love visiting new shores. But more importantly, our passion lies in living in these foreign lands, not passing through them briefly. We’ve just finished living in Korea for 2 years. We plan to live in many more countries.
We are now full time travel writers (Rachel’s blog is This Lean Journey). The task of creating a life and career out of travelling will be a challenging one. It’s dependent entirely on the richness of our life, our pictures, and our writing style. If you enjoy our blog then please keep coming back. Because ultimately, you’re the one who will help us to create the life that we’re working hard towards. The more readers we have, the better.
My passions, as you may already know, are photography and languages. I hope you enjoy my often unusual/unique style of photography.
Languages learned so far:
Spanish: high-intermediate (Can read and chat comfortably).
French: Intermediate (I’ve lost a lot of speaking ability since moving to Korea).
Italian: High beginner (Can read simple texts. Comprehension is at intermediate level)
Indonesian/Malay: low-mid Intermediate (Have read Harry Potter and maintained basic conversations but have a large passive vocabulary)
Future languages: German & Portuguese
Countries we will live in:
Indonesia from February 2012 August 2012
France from September 2012 to March 2013
Italy from March 2013 to September 2013
Germany from September 2013 to March 2014
South America (destination unknown) – March 2014 to September 2014
After that…who knows.
Please feel free to say hello or give us your opinion in the comment section of our posts.
All the best, and maybe we’ll meet on the road
