Learning Indonesian: Update 8
Learning Indonesian: Update 8
Feb 09It’s 16 days until we head to Indonesia. I’m looking forward to it but I’m still a little bit concerned about my speaking ability. I’m currently drilling my way through the 100 lessons in the book2 course. Most of it is basic but there are a serious amount of simple sentence structures that I’m still getting wrong.
I’d like to put my study time up to fours per day instead of two but I’ve got too much work on the blog to do. I still have the radio playing in the background while I’m working but its affect is minimal, I imagine.
I can feel, however, that the words are formulating quicker in my head when I’m talking to myself in Indonesian. There’s definitely a noticeably more comfortable feel when I’m using the more common words.
The main thing is my attitude when I actually go to Indonesia. I need to see every occasion as a chance to learn. I can’t shy away from these things.
