Our Week in Pictures – Week Twelve
The clock’s ticking. On Friday we’ll be Korea bound. I feel like I’ve added 1 pound of fat per day since getting back.
I went to my first Newcastle United match in a long time. It wasn’t pretty but we won.
That same evening I went to watch Henry Rollins perform for the second time. He nailed it, again. If you haven’t seen him before, do it. He’ll inspire you to make more of your existence.
Rachel and I went for a wedding consultation with a straight talking German called Gunther. We visited our wedding venue. If I believed in ghosts I’d swear it was haunted. It was very nice though. We’re already married, of course, but we’re having a repeat ceremony in England since our families couldn’t join us in Korea.
It’s going to be a make-shift affair on a traveller’s budget. Fortunately a lot of people have volunteered to help out for free. Free things are my favourite of all things.
I also spent time exploring the North East a bit more with my camera. My tripod snapped. I’ll buy another one in Korea. This time I won’t spend cheaply.
The end of the week was mainly characterised by alcohol, and too much of it. Rachel’s family had a party. Auntie Margaret didn’t put my head up her top, and auntie Maria didn’t get me drunk. Maybe they’re calming down a bit. They’re still the nicest family you’ll ever meet.
And finally, I spent last night with my old university mates. It was fantastic to see them all. Yet again, it was sad to say good bye for another 7 months.
