Our Week In Pictures – Week Nine

The Rapture is upon us, my friends. Despite the arrival of our imminent deaths, Rachel and I carried on our week as normal. In fact, contrary to the gloom we should have been feeling, we actually had an enjoyable week.

We spent a lovely Christmas in Iksan with friends. We drank too much alcohol. We ate our body weight in food at VIPS on Christmas day. I had two coffees in quick succession for the first time ever, because it was help yourself of course. I almost had a heart attack. The two ice creams I had shortly after made things worse. I didn’t eat for at least 4 hours after.

I had my last ever day of teaching on Wednesday, visited Dae In market for the first time, took a short trip to Yulpo beach and the Boseong Tea Fields for the last time. And for the first time in the 6 years Rachel and I have been together, we didn’t go out for New Year’s. We could have returned to Iksan or gone out in Gwangju, but at the last minute we decided to get drunk in our little apartment and sing songs all night.

I hope the New Year’s celebration isn’t taking it’s toll on you now. Happy New Year!!
